Ranthambhore Fort
The history of Sawai Madhopur revolves around the Ranthambhor fort. It is still
not known for certain who built this fort and when but one opinion is that it was
built in 944 AD. The strength and inaccessibility of the fort was a challenge to
the ambitious rulers of ancient and medieval India, particularly those of Delhi
and Agra

Jogi Mahal
City Palace is the home of the erstwhile royal family. It is the most important
landmark with its numerous outbuildings, courtyards, impressive gateways and temples.
It houses the Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, Diwan-i-Am, Diwan-i-Khas and a Museum.

Built by the eminent ruler of fort Rao Hamir who ruled around 1296 AD.

It is one of the few military structures of mediaeval India preserved almost intact,
containing palaces,gardens,open and covered reservoirs,a granary,an armoury,a well
planned cannon foundry,several temples, a tall tower and a giant mounted cannon
The Jai Ban-one of the largest cannons in India.
